Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026 ยท Version 1
A cookie is a small file a website puts in your browser. "Local storage" is a similar place where a site keeps settings. This policy explains what Universality uses. We use only what the Service needs to work, and no advertising, tracking or analytics tools.
1. What we use
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in cookie (strictly necessary) | Keeps you signed in | Up to 30 days, or until you log out |
| Device cookie (strictly necessary) | Lets one browser hold several accounts and switch between them; lets our team see one person using many accounts | Up to 400 days |
| Settings in local storage (functional) | Your theme, colours, layout, whether the menu is folded, which tours you saw | Until you clear them |
| Notifications and app settings (functional) | Whether you allowed or turned off notifications for an account on this device, the reminder to install the app, and, only if you allow notifications, the address your browser keeps for this site so we can send them (turn it off in Settings > Notifications) | Until you clear them or turn notifications off |
| Copies on your device (functional) | A copy of the slideshow you have open, the list of accounts on this device (names and pictures only), and a copy of a few answers so pages work offline | Until you clear them |
The necessary ones are set without asking because the Service cannot work without them. They are not used for advertising or analytics.
2. Other companies' cookies
When you sign in with Discord or Google, or follow a link to book a call (Cal.com), you are on that company's site and it uses its own cookies under its own policy. The team's review screens show TikTok and Instagram videos in those platforms' own players, which can set their own cookies.
3. Your choices
You can delete cookies and stored settings in your browser at any time, or block them (if you block the necessary ones you cannot sign in). Clearing local storage removes your saved settings, the copy of your open slideshow and the list of accounts on this device (your slideshows and history stay on your account). We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track you across sites.
4. If this changes
If we add anything that uses cookies for something other than making the Service work (for example analytics), we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before it runs where the law requires it.
