Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 18, 2026 ยท Version 1
We want everyone to be able to use Universality, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, magnification, high contrast or a phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We have not had an independent audit yet, so we do not claim full conformance.
What we do
- Keyboard. Pages work with the keyboard alone, with a "Skip to main content" link and a visible outline.
- Screen readers. Controls have names, pages have headings and landmarks, charts come with a summary and a table.
- Colour and contrast. Text meets a 4.5:1 ratio in the dark and light themes and every colour theme; a high-contrast theme is available.
- Motion. Animations are off if your device asks for less motion, and you can switch them off in Settings.
- Screens. Pages adapt to phones, tablets and computers; touch controls are at least 40 pixels tall.
What is still missing
- TikTok and Instagram videos in the team's review screens use those platforms' own players.
- Some shortcuts in the team's text editor may clash with a screen reader.
- A chart shows exact numbers in a tooltip only when the mouse is over it (screen readers get a table).
- Some headings skip a level.
- We have not yet tested with a full set of screen readers and voice-control tools.
Tell us about a problem
Tell us what you were trying to do, the page, and what got in the way. Email us at [email protected], or use Get help in your dashboard. We aim to answer within five working days and to offer another way to get you what you need while we fix it.
