Copyright Policy

Contents
We respect the rights of others and expect the same of clippers and brands. This policy applies to content on Universality's Service and is part of the Terms of Service.
1. Use only what you may use
- Music and sound. Use music you have the right to use. For campaign posts, use the platform's licensed library for commercial or branded content where the platform requires it, or music the brand gives you permission to use.
- Footage, images and logos. Use your own, the supplied material, or material you are licensed to use.
- People. Anyone recognisable in a clip must have given permission (a parent's or guardian's for anyone under 18).
- Brands promise that material, music, logos and likenesses they give us are theirs or licensed, and that clippers and we may use them for the campaign on the platforms and in the territories and time it needs. Do not assume you own music or footage just because you supplied it.
2. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright (including under the Canadian Copyright Act or the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act), or uses your image, trademark or personal information without permission, send a notice (email [email protected]) with "Copyright" in the subject, containing:
- your name and contact details (and the owner's, if you act for them);
- what the work is, and that you own the rights or may act for the owner;
- exactly where the material is on the Service (a link, a campaign, a clip);
- why you believe it infringes, and that neither you, the owner nor the law has allowed it;
- a statement that the information is accurate and, if you send it under US law, that you make it under penalty of perjury; and your signature (an electronic signature is enough).
3. What we do
- We look at the report quickly, usually within 5 working days. If it looks valid, we may remove or disable the material, stop counting a clip or pause a campaign, and tell the person who posted it, with your report (we may share your name and contact details with them).
- They may send a reply (a counter-notice) with their name and contact details, where the material was, a statement that they believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or that they have permission, and, under US law, a statement under penalty of perjury and consent to the courts of their district. We pass it to you. If you do not tell us within 10 business days that you have started court action, we may restore the material.
- If someone repeatedly posts infringing material, we may close their account.
4. False reports
Do not send a report you know is false. A person who makes a knowingly false claim can be responsible for the harm it causes.
5. Platforms
TikTok, Instagram and other platforms have their own reporting tools and decide removals on their platforms. Please also use their tools.
